DEEP's Partnerships in Parks: A Path to Expand Economic Development, Tourism & Healthy Communities
CT DEEP's new Office of Outdoor Industry and Experiences launched a standing request for ideas of potential partnerships to provide new or expanded outdoor recreation experiences, services or amenities in Connecticut State Parks. Potential partners may include municipalities, businesses, non-profits, individuals and other stakeholders interested in promoting outdoor recreation opportunities in their community. Attendees will learn about new Request for Proposals (RFPs), a standing Request for Information (RFI), current partnerships in state parks, state park survey results and examples of how outdoor recreation is driving economic development and tourism and supporting local businesses and healthy communities.
