Energy efficiency and electrification retrofits of rental housing replace older equipment with newer, more reliable systems that can lower energy costs and improve resident comfort. However, without careful planning, these projects risk disrupting residents, contributing to rent increases, interrupting essential services, or creating displacement risks.

Join the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) for a webinar exploring how rental energy efficiency programs can protect renters from disruptions to their lives while remaining appealing to property owners and workable for program administrators. Attendees will hear about the benefits and potential risks of rental energy upgrades, the legal and programmatic considerations that can shape renter protections, and practical strategies for program design and implementation. The webinar will outline a new technical assistance opportunity for New England communities and organizations.
