About this event:
Dr. Daniel Carrión is an environmental health scientist currently conducting research on energy insecurity, extreme ambient temperatures, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. His doctoral research focused on energy poverty in rural Ghana, examining health outcomes from household air pollution exposures, and opportunities for intervention. He received his BA from Ithaca College, his MPH from New York Medical College, and his PhD from Columbia University’s Climate and Health Program. Outside of his research activities, Dr. Carrión is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program and a member of the New York Academy of Medicine. He was appointed by Governor Cuomo in 2016 to New York State’s Minority Health Council.
