Past Sustainable CT Fellows


Through the Sustainable CT Fellowship Program, students from Connecticut colleges and universities receive training, supervision, and a stipend to help our communities implement Sustainable CT actions and obtain points towards certification. Below, you can find out more information about past Sustainable CT Fellows.


2024 Sustainable CT Fellows


Brigitte Arcoite

Brigitte is a member of the class of 2024 at Colorado College. She is graduating with a degree in Economics and a minor in Environmental Studies and Urban Studies. Brigitte will be working with the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. She is passionate about environmental justice advocacy work which she has been a part of with Citizens Climate Lobby. In her free time, Brigitte enjoys getting outside canoeing and birdwatching.
 

Jacob Bartel

Jacob is a rising Senior at Sacred Heart University. He is majoring in Political Science and Philosophy and hoping to pursue a career in city planning or public administration. Jacob will be working with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. Jacob is a member of the Division I Men's Fencing Team at Sacred Heart and has competed nationally for 10 years. He enjoys every outdoor activity, as well as playing piano and going on road trips.
 

Paige Booth

Paige is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut. She is majoring in Environmental Science with a sustainable systems concentration. She will be working at the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments in Norwich. A fun fact about Paige is she loves to sing and is the president of her acapella group, Rubyfruit!
 

John-Henry Burke

John-Henry is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in sustainable systems. He is excited to be working in the Northwest Hills Regional Council of Governments in Litchfield. In his free time, John-Henry can be found playing his trombone, spending time outside, and film making.
 

Ella Burns-DeMelo

Ella is a rising sophomore at Smith College. She is majoring in Environmental Science & Policy and Government. She will be working with the Western Connecticut Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. Ella is the treasurer of the Smith Campus Action Club and a Smith Alliance for Justice & Equity Fellow. She also enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with friends.
 

Jackie Flaherty

Jackie is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut. She is majoring in Marketing and Urban and Community Studies with a minor in Geographic Information Science. She will be working at the South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven. In her free time, Jackie enjoys watching movies and running!
 

Adrian Huq

Adrian is an incoming graduate student at Yale University pursuing a master's degree in Environmental Management and a recent graduate of Tufts University. This summer, they will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. Adrian is a passionate climate organizer who serves as the co-founder of the New Haven Climate Movement Youth Action Team and Youth Coordinator at the Climate Health Education Project.
 

Brett Hurley

Brett is a 2024 graduate from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Political Science. He will be working with the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. Brett enjoys reading, thrifting, and the outdoors and is making the most of his summer before starting at UConn Law this fall.
 

Odeth Sandoval

Odeth is a rising senior at Southern Connecticut State University. She will be working with the Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport. She enjoys soaking up the sun with a good book and creating new ways to incorporate sustainability in her everyday life. She also enjoys playing soccer, scrapbooking, and thrifting!
 

Rebecca Stanton

Rebecca is a member of the class of 2024 at Southern Connecticut State University. She is earning a degree in Environmental Systems and Sustainability with a concentration in Environmental Policy and a minor in Anthropology. In 2023, Rebecca went to the United Nations Framework on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai, UAE to conduct research on coastal and ocean-based conflicts within small island developing states. This summer, Rebecca will be working with the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys long nature walks and thrifting.
 

Dylan Steer

Dylan is a senior student at the University of Connecticut majoring in Environmental Studies & Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. He is also an intern with the UConn Office of Sustainability where he works on sustainable events, education, and programs. Dylan is involved in various clubs and organizations on campus as well. He is the President of EcoHusky, an environmental club on campus, and a lead organizer with Fossil Fuel Free UConn, an activism coalition working to decarbonize UConn and divest the university's investments in the fossil fuel industry. This summer, Dylan will be working with the Western Connecticut Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. In his free time, he likes to watch movies, play board games, and read as much as possible.
 


2023 Sustainable CT Fellows


Lilly Adamo

Lilly is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut. She is majoring in Environmental Science and Political Science. She will be working with the Western CT Council of Government in Sandy Hook. Lilly is a member of the UConn Women's Rowing team. She also enjoys spending time outside and going for walks.

 

Cole Burnham

Cole is a rising first-year graduate student at Tufts University studying Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. He will be working with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. He enjoys reading, the outdoors, music, and traveling.

 

Morgan Casey

Morgan is a rising junior at Central Connecticut State University studying International Studies with a minor in French. She will be working at the Southeastern CT Council of Governments in Norwich this summer. In her free time, Morgan enjoys traveling, reading, and creative writing. She also loves learning about film.

 

Adrian Huq

Adrian is a rising senior at Tufts University in Massachusetts majoring in Applied Environmental Studies and minoring in Film and Media Studies. This summer, they will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. Adrian is a passionate climate organizer who serves as the co-founder of the New Haven Climate Movement Youth Action Team. They are excited for their third summer as a Sustainable CT Fellow!

 

Nicolas Lombardo

Nicolas is earning a dual-degree in Applied & Resource Economics and Cognitive Science with minors in Geographic Information Science and Crime & Justice at the University of Connecticut. Nicolas is interested in environmental policies and initiatives that will decarbonize energy production. This summer he will be working with the Western Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. Nicolas loves hiking and traveling, and was able to combine the two when he climbed Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal last summer!

 

Puji Masireddy

Puji is a rising sophomore at Wesleyan University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Data Analysis. This summer Puji will be based at the Capital Region Council of Governments in Hartford. She is passionate about environmental justice advocacy, and in her free time, loves wheel-throwing pottery.

 

Katie Meder

Katie is a rising Junior at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. She is majoring in Environmental Science with a biology concentration and is minoring in environmental studies and urban studies. She will be working at the South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven. Katie is a dancer, so in her free time and can often be found dancing, hiking, or spending time with her animals.

 

Summer Mitchell

Summer is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Environmental Science. Summer is excited to be working at the Lower Connecticut Valley River Council of Governments in Essex this summer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and reading.

 

Dylan Steer

Dylan is a rising Junior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Environmental Studies and Political Science. He will be working at the Connecticut Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport. A fun fact about Dylan is that he has three passports from Türkiye, the US, and the UK.

 

Devin Sturtevant

Devin is a rising junior at Wesleyan University majoring in Science in Society. She is passionate about waste reduction and works on campus as a Compost Intern. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and going to museums. This summer, she will be working with the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments in Essex.

 

Ryan Ziemnicki

Ryan is a member of the class of 2023 at Westfield State University. He is majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Sustainable Studies and Geography. This summer Ryan will be working with the Northwest Hills Council of Governments in Goshen. A fun fact about Ryan is that he has been an ice hockey coach for 7 years.

Michio Agresta

Michio is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Natural Resources & Environment, with minors in Spanish and Human Rights. Michio will be working at the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. He enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and skateboarding, and plans to study abroad in Lima Peru the Fall semester of 2022.

 

Adrian Beckford

Adrian is a rising senior Environmental Studies student at Connecticut College. He is focused on climate adaptation and implementation in local and international coastal regions. This summer, Adrian will be working at South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven. He loves photography, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

 

Emily Bigl

Emily is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut. She is majoring in Environmental Studies, with a minor in Geographic Information Science. Emily will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. In her spare time, Emily enjoys hiking and practicing archery.

Liam Ford

Liam is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut. He is majoring in Natural Resources, concentrating on Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation. This summer, Liam will be working with the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. Liam is a goalkeeper for the UConn Men's Club Soccer team and enjoys fishing, hiking and camping.

Serena Levingston

Serena is a rising junior at Wesleyan University, where she is majoring in Environmental Studies and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This summer, she will be working with the Northwest Hills Council of Governments in Goshen. On campus, Serena is proud to serve as a hub coordinator for Sunrise Movement Wesleyan and Sustainability Co-Coordinator for the Wesleyan Jewish Community. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Middletown by bike and foot.

 

Monet Paredes

Monet is a rising junior at the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies. This summer, Monet will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. Monet has worked as a soccer coach and water safety instructor, and loves to paint in her free time.
 

Liam Rimas

Liam is a rising junior at Connecticut College, studying Environmental Studies and Government. He is also a part of Conn’s Goodwin-Niering Center for the Environment where he is studying Environmental Justice concerns within cities’ sustainable development programs. This summer Liam will be working at Lower Connecticut Valley River Council of Governments in Essex.

 

Haylee Scibek

Haylee is a rising junior at the University of Connecticut where she is majoring in Marketing. She is excited to be working at the Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments in Killingly this summer. A fun fact about Haylee is that she has a metal spine; both literally and figuratively!

 

Annika Shiffer-Delegard

Annika is a rising senior at Wesleyan University. She is majoring in English and Environmental Studies. This summer Annika will be working at the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments in Norwich. In her free time, Annika likes to climb and boulder.
 

Quin Wolters

Quin is a rising senior at Wake Forest University where she is pursuing a major in Mathematical Economics and a minor in Environmental Studies. This summer, Quin will be working with the CT Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport. Quin spent her junior year in Copenhagen, Denmark where she enjoyed exploring the city and learning about the Danish approach to sustainability.


2021 Sustainable CT Fellows


Reese Berman

Reese is a rising junior at Virginia Tech. He has a major in Environmental Policy and Planning, with a minor in Ecological Cities. This summer, Reese will be working with the Southeastern CT Council of Governments in Norwich. In his spare time, Reese likes to get outside and run. He completed a half marathon his freshman year.

 

Thomas Bonitz

Thomas is a member of the class of 2024 at the University of Connecticut. He is double majoring in Geographic Information Science and Economics and minoring in Urban and Community Studies. Thomas will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. Thomas loves backpacking, soccer, volleyball, and playing the viola.
 

Sofia DiNatale

Sofia is a rising junior at the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Political Science and Music with a concentration in Instrumental Performance. This summer, Sofia will be working at the Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. She has been playing the piano and cello for nearly 10 years!
 

Rachel Flanagan

Rachel is a member of the class of 2023 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She is a Civil Engineering major with a focus in Transportation Engineering and Sustainable Development. This summer she will be working with the Southeastern CT Council of Governments in Norwich. Rachel is a member of the Varsity Women’s Rowing team at WPI.
 

Liam Ford

Liam is a member of the class of 2022 at the University of Connecticut. He is majoring in Natural Resources, concentrating on Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation. He is also pursuing a minor in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. This summer, Liam will be working with theWestern CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. In the Fall of 2020, Liam took a gap semester to travel around the USA. His roadtrip covered 51 days, over 11,000 miles and he visited 17 National Parks.
 

Adrian Huq

Adrian is a rising sophomore at Tufts University in Massachusetts majoring in Applied Environmental Studies. This summer, Adrian will be working with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. Adrian is a passionate climate activist who serves as the co-founder of the New Haven Climate Movement Youth Action Team and facilitator at the Climate Health Education Project.
 

Valentina Jimenez

Valentina is a rising senior at the University of Hartford studying biochemistry with a strong interest in environmental policy and science. She will be graduating in the spring of 2022 and will be working at the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook, Newtown this summer. She was recently elected as the President of the Student Government Association at UHart as the first Latina president.
 

Hope Marino

Hope is a graduated senior from Fairfield University as she majored in both Environmental Studies and Psychology, and a minor in Politics. She looks forward to attending law school in the fall. This summer she will be working at the South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven. In her spare time, Hope enjoys listening to music and taking hikes with her friend’s German Shepherd/Boxer mix puppy, Nala!
 

Lauren Pawlowski

Lauren is a senior at the University of Connecticut. She is pursuing a dual degree in Environmental Studies and Economics. Lauren will be working with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury this summer. A fun fact about Lauren is that she loves to travel, hike, and explore new places. She’s been to about 15 U.S. National Parks and was a UConn Fellow at the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP25) in Madrid, Spain.
 

Sean Roach

Sean is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Urban and Community Studies and Psychological Sciences with a minor in Public Policy. He is also a part of UConn's fast track program pursuing his Masters in Public Administration. This summer, Sean will be working with the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. In his spare time, he likes to hike, camp, and knit scarves.
 

Megan Schweickert

Megan is a rising senior at the University of New Haven as a Marine Biology major. This summer she will be working with the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. During her free time, Megan enjoys hiking and kayaking.
 

Allie Smith

Allie is pursuing an MS in Environmental Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. She extremely interested in environmental policy and its role in municipal and regional planning. Her work mainly revolves around sustainable transport policies and public engagement with community-based sustainability projects that seek to facilitate, and maintain, sustainable lifestyles. This summer, Allie will be working at the Northwest Hills Council of Governments in Goshen.
 

Julia Stevenson

Julia is a second-year Environmental Studies graduate student at Southern Connecticut State University. She is focused on climate mitigation and adaptation in ocean and coastal regions and international climate negotiations. This summer, Julia will be working at CT Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport. She is an avid reader and loves spending time outdoors.
 

Brandon Whitburn

Brandon graduated from the University of Connecticut in the spring of 2020 with a major in economics and minors in communications and accounting. Currently, he is attending the University of Connecticut graduate school pursuing a master’s degree in public administration where he will graduate in the spring of 2022. This summer he is excited to be working with the Northeastern CT Council of Governments in Dayville. In his spare time Brandon enjoys hiking and tending to his herb garden.


2020 Sustainable CT Fellows


Johneil Clarke

Johneil is in the class of 2020 at St. John’s University. She is majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Anthropology. This summer, she will be working at the CT Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport. Johneil enjoys cooking and baking.
 

Zoe Duffield

Zoe is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut. She is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sustainable Environmental Systems. Zoe will be working at the Northeast CT Council of Governments in Killingly this summer. A fun fact about Zoe is that she has four siblings, all within one year of each other!
 

Caty Fortin

Caty attends Connecticut College as a rising senior in the Class of 2021. She is a Government major and an Environmental Studies and American Studies double minor. Caty will be working at the Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments in Essex this summer. A fun fact is that during this quarantine her three adorable dogs are her roommates.
 

Hamsa Ganapathi

Hamsa graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2017 with a degree in Chemistry and minor in Healthcare Management. She plans to begin her Master’s degree in food policy and studies this fall. Hamsa is very excited to be working at the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook this summer, and to learn more about this region of her home state of Connecticut.
 

Emily Kaufman

Emily is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut studying Environmental Studies and Sociology with a minor in Geographic Information Systems. This summer she will be working with the Southeastern CT Council of Governments in Norwich. Emily loves to travel and has studied abroad in both Ecuador and Australia.
 

Erin Lindsay

Erin is a member of the class of 2023 at the University of Connecticut. She is an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major. This summer Erin will be working with the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. Erin plays on the Club Soccer Team at UConn and recently traveled to Austin, TX to participate in the National Tournament.
 

Hope Marino

Hope is a member of the Class of 2021 at Fairfield University. She is an Environmental Studies and Psychology major. Hope will be working at the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. Hope loves listening to music in her free time.
 

Matthew McCarthy

Matthew is in the class of 2021 at the University of Connecticut. He is majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Urban Studies. This summer, Matt will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. In his spare time, Matt likes listening to Drake.
 

Kelly-Anne Moffa

Kelly-Anne is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut in the Honors Program. She is a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. This is her second summer working for Sustainable CT. Kelly-Anne will be working with the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. Kelly-Anne loves travelling the world and is passionate about service. She has spent her previous spring breaks volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in different states across the country.
 

Julian Saria

Julian is part of Southern CT State University’s 2020 graduating class this fall. He is an English Major with a minor in Political Science. Julian will be working in the South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven this summer. He loves to kayak and canoe, and bringing smiles to people’s faces. As a former kayak and canoe instructor, he used to take hundreds of kids out on the water each day! 
 

Chadwick Schroeder

Chadwick is an upcoming senior at the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies. He is going to be working at the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. Chadwick enjoys reading in his free time and organizing students on his campus.
 

Anthony Simpatico

Anthony is in the class of 2021 at the University of Groningen (Netherlands), majoring in Human Geography and Urban & Regional Planning. This summer, Anthony will be working with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. In his spare time, he likes to go for runs, longboard, and read books about history.
 

Noah Swanson

Noah is a rising junior in the class of 2022 at the University of Connecticut, with a major in Environmental Sciences and a minor in Environmental Policy and Economics. This summer, he’ll be working at the Northwest Hills Council of Governments in Goshen. In his free time, Noah likes to go backpacking and hike!


2019 Sustainable CT Fellows


Normandy Avery

Normandy graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2017 with a major in Marine Science and minor in Psychology. She is currently working on completing UConn’s Sustainable Environmental Planning and Management Graduate Certificate this fall. Normandy is excited to be working at the Northeastern CT Council of Governments in Dayville. Normandy used to volunteer, and interned at the Mystic Aquarium working with the seals and sea lions.
 

Kendra Beaver

Kendra is a rising Senior at Dickinson College, majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Political Science. This summer she will be working with the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. During the Fall 2018 semester, Kendra studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark.
 

Desira Blanchard

Desira attends the University of Connecticut. She is a senior and will graduate in the fall of 2019. Desira is an Urban and Community Studies major and a Political Science minor. She will be working at the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. Desira has studied abroad in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic.
 

Allison Brown

Allison is a senior at Eastern Connecticut State University. She is a double major in English and Environmental Studies with a minor in French. Allison will be working at the CT Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport this summer. Last summer, Allison visited Mount Washington and the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
 

Rhea Grant

Rhea is in the class of 2022 at Yale University, majoring in Environmental Studies. She will be working at the South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven. Rhea does improv comedy with Yale’s "Just Add Water" comedy troupe.
 

Regina Harlig

Regina is a Master of Environmental Management Candidate at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies (F&ES). Regina will be working in the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. She’s excited to spend the summer exploring Connecticut beaches and deciding once and for all who makes the best pizza in New Haven.

 

Joseph Marsalisi

Joseph is in the class of 2020 at ECSU. He is majoring in Environmental Earth Science with a concentration in Sustainable Energy and a minor in Astronomy Outreach and Public Presentation. Joseph will be working with the Southeastern CT Council of Governments in Norwich. Joseph is a certified rescue scuba diver and loves spending time working in his coral reef aquariums.

 

Alexis Meehan

Alexis is a senior at the University of Connecticut. She is pursuing a double major in Environmental Studies and Political Science. This summer, Alexis will be working at the Northeastern CT Council of Governments in Dayville. This past semester, Alexis studied abroad at the University College Dublin in Ireland!
 

Kelly-Anne Moffa

Kelly-Anne is a junior at the University of Connecticut. She is a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. Kelly-Anne will be working with theNorthwest Hills Council of Governments in Goshen. Kelly-Anne has spent her past two spring breaks volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in different states across the country.
 

Sarah Mount

Sarah is a member of the class of 2020 at Wesleyan University. She is an Economics and Environmental Studies double major with a Data Analysis minor. This summer Sarah will be working for the Southeastern CT Council of Governments in Norwich. Sarah's favorite pastime is roller-skating, and she can often be found playing roller derby with the Hartford Area Roller Derby league in Vernon, Connecticut.

 

Mackenzie Pias

Mackenzie is a Junior in the Class of 2020 at the University of Connecticut. She is majoring in Environmental Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. Mackenzie will be working at the Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. Mackenzie is on the track and cross country teams at UConn.

 

Chadwick Schroeder

Chadwick is an upcoming junior at the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies. He is going to be working at the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. Chadwick enjoys riding his bike in the forest.
 

Avatar Simpson

Avatar is in the class of 2020 at Connecticut College. He is an Environmental Studies major and an Economics and Religious Studies double minor. Avatar will be working with the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. Last fall, Avatar polar plunged off the coast of Tasmania in the Southern Ocean during his semester abroad in Australia.
 

Catherine Xi

Catherine is in the class of 2021 at Wesleyan University, double majoring in the College of Social Studies (CSS) and Environmental Studies. She will be working with the Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. Catherine’s favorite national park is Yellowstone.
 

Harry Zehner

Harry is a rising Junior at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Environmental Policy and Economics. This summer he will be working at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. In his free time, Harry enjoys podcasting with his friends.

Alessandra is in the class of 2019 at the University of Connecticut. Alessandra is majoring in Natural Resources and Political Science, and she will be working at the South Central Regional Council of Governments in North Haven. Alessandra tap dances with a club at UConn.
 

Amanda Arroyo

Amanda is a senior at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Applied & Resource Economics and minoring in Business Management & Marketing. Amanda will be working at the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments in Waterbury. This past semester, Amanda was studying abroad in Florence, Italy!
 

Nadia Balassone

Nadia graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in spring of 2018 as a double major in Business Administration-Marketing and English-Rhetoric & Composition. She will be attending Quinnipiac University School of Law in the fall of 2018. Nadia is excited to be working at the Capitol Region Council of Government in Hartford this summer and to continue training her feisty little rescue dog, Luna.
 

Allison Brown

Allison is a junior at Eastern Connecticut State University. Allison is a double major in English and Environmental Studies with a French minor.  She will be working at the CT Metropolitan Council of Governments in Bridgeport.  A fun fact about Allison is that while she doesn't like chocolate ice cream, she does enjoy anything else chocolate.
 

Nat Bush

Nat is in the class of 2019 at Trinity College, double majoring in Neuroscience and French. Nat will be working with the Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. A fun fact about Nat is that they studied abroad in Paris last fall!
 

Jane Culkin

Jane is a 2019 Master of Environmental Management Candidate at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies focused on city and state energy, resilient and sustainable policy approaches. Jane will be working in the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford. In her spare time, Jane enjoys searching for waterfalls on hikes throughout the Northeast.
 

Lucas Cummings

Lucas is in the class of 2019 at the University of Connecticut. He is majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Global Change and in Natural Resources with a concentration in Water Resources & Climate. Lucas will be working with the Northeastern CT Council of Governments in Dayville. As a huge trivia fan, Lucas was captain of his high school's trivia team, and to this day he never misses an opportunity for a good trivia night!
 

Colleen Dollard

Colleen is a senior at the University of Connecticut double majoring in Geography and Maritime Studies with minors in Political Science and Environmental Economics & Policy. Colleen has taken most of her classes at the UConn Avery Point campus because she lives in Groton. Colleen will be working with the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments in Norwich. Colleen recently got her scuba diving certification, and she enjoys hiking with her dogs at Bluff Point.
 

Collin Donovan

Collin is in the class of 2019 at Fairfield University. Collin is an Environmental Studies major with a minor in Politics. Collin loves to go hiking, camping, and snowboarding in his free time. He is working at Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook.
 

Gabrielle Gelozin

Gabrielle is a first year law student at the University of Connecticut School of Law. Gabby completed her undergraduate degree at The College of William and Mary in Virginia where she majored in Biology and minored in Economics. This summer Gabby will be working with the Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments in Essex. A fun fact about Gabby is that when visiting the Scottish Highlands, she took a big sip of water straight from Loch Ness.
 

Brooke Mercaldi

Brooke is part of the class of 2020 at Southern Connecticut State University. Her major is Environmental Systems and Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Coastal and Marine Systems. This summer Brooke will be working at the Northwest Hills Council of Governments in Goshen. Brooke spent this previous semester abroad in Liverpool, England!
 

Leonardo Abreu Ynojosa

Leonardo attends the University of Connecticut as an upcoming junior, and major in Environmental Engineering. Leo will be working with the Western CT Council of Governments in Sandy Hook. A fun fact about Leo is that he has never gone bowling, but wishes to do so soon.
