Additional Information: Action 2.4-3: Prioritize resources for protection. Within the Open Space Plan, Appendix B (pg. 47) includes an "Evaluation Methodology for Acquisition, Sale, Lease, and Preservation of Properties for Open Space Classification". Resources prioritized for protection include: flood control, water supply, protection of water quality, protection and maintenance of biological diversity, woodlands, and wildlife habitat corridors, buffer between land uses, recreational activity, scenic views/visual character of the community, historic and cultural landscapes, Long Island Sound- protection of coastal resources and water quality, and education. Partners: Earth Week of Action was spearheaded by the Conservation Commission, but could not have succeeded or been successful without the multitude of community partners, Board of Education admin and staff, parents, and all our Greenwich students. Art in Public Places was a partnership between the Greenwich Arts Council and The Department of Parks and Recreation.
