Connecticut Green Bank C-PACE Workshops available to Sustainable CT communities.
Sustainable CT has partnered with the Connecticut Green Bank to offer support in planning and conducting C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) Workshops to communities across the state. By hosting a C-PACE Workshop, your city or town will satisfy the requirements for Sustainable CT actions: Encourage local building owners to access C-PACE financing (10 points under action 7.9.2). To be considered for this program, your municipality must be a participating community in the C-PACE Program (20 points under action 7.9.1). If your municipality is not yet participating in the C-PACE program and is interested in learning more, email [email protected] for more information.
The Connecticut Green Bank team, in partnership with Sustainable CT staff, will facilitate a C-PACE Workshop and provide your community with all submission requirements needed to satisfy action 7.9.2, earning your municipality 10 points towards certification. During this offering, C-PACE Workshops will take place between February 1 and September 30, 2025. Workshops will be offered as an in-person event and will take place on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The C-PACE Workshop Process
All kinds of commercial, industrial, non-profit, and multifamily property owners are using Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) to access affordable, long-term financing for green upgrades to their buildings. C-PACE brings investment to municipal economies, reduces energy costs and greenhouse gas-emissions for local businesses and leverages private investment and tax incentives. C-PACE helps make municipalities better places to do business and results in stronger and healthier communities for all. Help property owners in your community address their energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric vehicle infrastructure needs with C-PACE
The C-PACE Workshop is designed to introduce the C-PACE program to property owners in your community. The learning objectives of the workshop are to:
- Understand what C-PACE is and what the benefits are.
- Understand which commercial properties, property types or building upgrades are eligible for C-PACE.
- Know how to get started with C-PACE and who to contact with questions.
