Documentation Details: Action 2.4.3 Attached you will also find a description of each Chamber of Commerce event. Wilton Chamber of Commerce works with multiple town departments and other community partners for the referenced events. You can see even more event listings on the Chamber website https://wiltonchamber.com/events-detail/. Businesses who become a member of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce are automatically enrolled in the Chamber’s newsletter. 8 weeks prior to any Chamber event, an announcement is sent out through this newsletter – which also includes local members of the community and officials of the Town of Wilton. In addition, a press release goes out through local print and television media, online PR channels, the Good Morning Wilton daily digital bulletin, CT Patch, and Hamlet Hub. Action 2.4.4 - Wilton's Guide to Opening a Business is listed on our Town website under the Tab "Business" then "Business Development" https://www.wiltonct.org/home/pages/business-development. When a prospective business reaches out to our town planning office and First Selectwoman's Office they are provided this guide. In response to inquiries by small businesses, the Department of Public Health created a small business resource page during COVID. They added to it as information became available. These resources were communicated about the in our First Selectwoman's updates. Partners: The Town of Wilton has partnerships with several community groups such as Trout Unlimited, the Norwalk River Watershed Association, Harbor Watch, the Boy Scouts of America and several local companies have consistently worked to implement Watershed Action Plan priority projects.

Approved Information: 3.4.4b Increase Preserved Open Space Plan (10 points)

Documentation Details: Aspetuck Land Trust was able to acquire the 10-acre Montanaro Property in Wilton for preserved open space. Most recently, the Aspetuck Land Trust received a CT DEEP OSWA grant to acquire an 11-acre Fratelli Zeta property. Attached are the letters of support for Fratelli Zeta from the Wilton Conservation Commission and Planning and Zoning Commission as they still in the processing of officially purchasing the property. The town of Wilton does not have an official partnership with the Aspetuck Land Trust regarding the Montanaro property. The Town of Wilton supported the efforts of the Aspetuck Land Trust to get a State grant by writing letters of support as required by the grant, but they did not facilitate the purchase and are not maintaining the property. They also did not provide any filing fee discounts.

Documentation Details: 3.12.1 Educate on Pollinator Gardens - submission document includes education events around pollinators as well as our Pollinator Pathway brochure. Pollinator Garden Champion flyer showcases the educational outreach (through a competition) to non-municipal and non-residential businesses and organizations showcasing their pollinator gardens. 3.12.2 - PDF file contains our local pollinator gardens on municipal property. 3.12.3 The Town of Wilton along with the Town of Wilton Conservation Commission and Pollinator Pathway organization crafted a Pollinator Pathway Proclamation which was then read and recognized at a newly created annual town event. (See 3.12.1 Pollinator Garden Champion Flyer). Additional Information: Wilton was the birthplace of the Pollinator Pathway and continues to be an active and supportive, now 501(c)3, that works with towns and organizations throughout the northeast. Our Plan of Conservation and Development was put together through many months of work from our Planning and Zoning Commission as well as all Wilton Departments, local organizations and individuals.

6. Clean and Diverse Transportation Systems and Choices
Approved Information: 6.1.6 Implement Complete Streets - 15 points. The Town of Wilton is submitting 1 project partnering with the Norwalk River Valley Trail team. Completed WilWalk section of the Loop connecting the Wilton portions of the loop to Norwalk NRVT adding an additional 2.2 miles north.

Additional Information: The Norwalk River Valley Trail is a multi town trail system. Wilton was amongst the first towns to allocate town land adjacent to CT state land for this project. During the period of August 2016 to August 2019, several separate sections of the trail have been completed. Further, fund raising and planning has been completed and/or are in process for new sections of the trail that connect Wilton to Norwalk and Ridgefield. 4 of those projects are represented in this document.

Documentation Details: 6.4.3d - Since the purchase of its first hybrid police vehicle in December 2019, the Wilton Police Department has added additional hybrid vehicles to its fleet, with consideration of full EVs in the future. Currently, 11 of the 15 police vehicles are hybrid. Please see attached receipts.
