In the Climate-adaptive Design (CaD) studio, communities and students envision vibrant, resilient Hudson River waterfronts through innovative design projects. This webinar will provide background on the CaD studio and present the Hudson Valley Regional “LookBook,” a publication featuring student design ideas developed through their participation in the academic course that has worked with riverfront communities since 2015.
The LookBook describes the CaD studio process, introduces resilient waterfront design principles, and shares adaptation resources. It is intended to support conversations about climate change, inspire action, and assist Hudson River communities in moving toward greater resilience.
The CaD studio is made possible through a partnership between the Cornell University Department of Landscape Architecture, the NYSDEC Hudson River Estuary Program and the NYS Water Resources Institute. The CaD Regional LookBook was produced with support from NYSERDA.
