April 13, 2024 - 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Clinton Town Hall
54 East Main Street, Clinton, CT 06413
Indaba and M.A.D. Content, Clinton Arts Council, Clinton Human Rights Committee, and Henry Carter Hull Library are pleased to help bring to our shoreline community the critically acclaimed one-act play written and directed by Award-Winning screenwriter, Steve Driffin, called Death by a Thousand Cuts: A Requiem for Black and Brown Men.
This full theatrical production performed by professional actors in sold-out venues in CT and off-Broadway in NYC depicts the life encounters, trauma and microaggressions of Black and Brown men who have been historically and culturally silent about the pain they endure living in their skin in America.
Performance followed by a Q&A and panel discussion.
Allegorically told, Death by a Thousand Cuts: A Requiem for Black and Brown Men candidly unearths the raw experiences of melanated men. Drawing from the joy, pain, and the trauma of surviving in America, this is a requiem 400 years in the making.
